The AA in LA has hundreds of different meetings, so there’s always one that will work with you. But so many meetings can make it hard to decide. Below, we list a few that we like. This barely scratches the surface but is a good start for those looking to find their first meeting group.

  • Monday Attitude Adjustment, 401 N Bullis Rd, Mondays at 7:00 AM

Kick off your week with this meeting that will give you a positive mindset. It’s closed, meaning only AA members may attend. You’ll find a supportive group of members who are willing to listen and help you as you recover

  • How It Works, 11455 Chandler Blvd, Mondays at 6:00 PM

This meeting, open to everyone, is a great way to learn the ropes as a newcomer to the AA. Here, you’ll get a crash course on the AA recovery approach and begin to develop the support group that will be there for you throughout your recovery

  • Eye Opener, 10641 Burbank Blvd, Tuesdays at 7:00 AM

This meeting is a great way to kick off your day right! It’s open to everyone.

  • Life After Ten, 1343 Ocean Park Blvd, Tuesdays at 6:00 PM

This meeting, held in Santa Monica, is closed, meaning only AA members may attend. It’s a great place for new members to open up and feel safe with a group of supportive individuals also looking to quit drinking

  • Keep It Reel, 1249 Vine St, Saturdays at 10:00 AM

Start your weekend off right with this lively meeting. It’s open to everyone, including those who are not AA members.

There are hundreds of more meetings throughout LA and the surrounding areas. Remember, not every meeting will be right for you. But once you find the right group, you’ll be glad you did.
